William Stafford's Poetry as Lyrics and performance art

These recordings are presented as a very small example of how musicians, composers and theatrical performers have responded to the poetry of William Stafford in his later years and following his death in 1993. This kind of artistic collaboration with, and creative expression of his work continues today. 

In an album titled "Cutting Lose," to honor the 100th birthday of William Stafford, Daniel Austin Sperry, a classical composer and cellist created a sensory weave of poetry and music.
