Stafford Reading & Birthday Celebration – Oregon City, OR

The Third Monday Authors Group and the Oregon City Library are delighted to sponsor a William Stafford Birthday Celebration on Thursday, January 17, 2019from 6-7:30PMat the Oregon City Library.

These celebrations will be held during January in Oregon and the nation in honor of poet William Stafford who taught for many years at Lewis and Clark College and was Oregon Poet Laureate from 1975 through 1989.

This event will be hosted by the Third Monday Authors Group. Among our Featured Readers will be Maureen Cole, Tom Hogan, Rose Lefebvre, Elisabeth Miles and 

Kelly Wigmore.  They will be reading some of Stafford 's work as well as their own.

In addition to the Featured Readers, there will also be an Open Mic. Please join the event and bring a poem honoring William Stafford! It's open to all and there will be an opportunity for everyone who wants to share a poem. You can sign up ahead of time or just come along to the event. There will be poems available to read if you did not bring one and light refreshments will be served.
